Deluxe Décor
This Highland Park residence is a study in exceptionalism, far from the typical North Shore home.
Every element, from color and texture to furnishings and artwork, is curated to express personality and style without ever feeling predictable.
Designed by Deborah Lund Interiors, the residence balances private family living with spaces ideal for entertaining. Architecture, art, and furnishings are carefully curated to create a cohesive, gallery-like environment. Deep, moody colors, sculptural forms, and avant-garde textiles establish a dramatic yet inviting tone.
The home is ideal for lively gatherings while also including a cozy media room the family enjoys for casual movie nights and hangouts.
Layered textures and bespoke finishes bring warmth and thoughtful sophistication. By integrating pieces from the client's existing collection with new art acquisitions, Deb has created a home that is both aspirational and approachable, reflecting the family's distinctive taste and lifestyle. Every detail, from the interplay of color and texture to the intentional placement of art and furnishings, reinforces the home's individuality, elegance, and exceptional design, truly setting it apart from any conventional suburban residence. For families seeking luxury interior design on Chicago's North Shore, this Highland Park home demonstrates what's possible when a designer fully commits to a client's vision.
Bathroom
For our fashion-forward client, this guest bath, connected to the home's media room, is wrapped in Jean Paul Gaultier's reinterpretation of the French art technique décollage. The wallcovering creates a unique, expressive environment that feels both avant-garde and timeless. When a surface is this bold, it becomes the art itself. It's the kind of unexpected design move that defines truly bespoke interior design in the Chicago area — where even a guest bath becomes a conversation starter.
Primary Bedroom
The primary bedroom in our Deluxe Décor Project is a room for four seasons. Layered shades of cream and beige, paired with subtle shifts in texture and tone, create a space that is serene yet visually engaging. Designed for year-round tranquility, it's a timeless retreat that feels as inviting in the warmth of summer as it does in the quiet of winter. For Chicago-area homeowners who want a primary bedroom that transcends trends, this is what enduring luxury residential design looks like.
Guest Bedroom
Guest bedrooms deserve as much attention as every other room in the home. This guest bedroom's colors coordinate with the overall palette while giving the room its own personality. The mirrored wall sculpture, along with the blanket and throw pillow, bring just the right amount of pattern, color, and texture, allowing the rest of the room to serve as a calm backdrop of natural tones. Designed for both comfort and style, it's a space guests — friends and family alike — love to return to. Tailored and sophisticated, with just a hint of rock-and-roll, it perfectly complements the vibe of the rest of the home. That balance of refinement and edge is a signature of Deborah Lund Interiors' approach to luxury home design in Highland Park and across the North Shore.
